General Choi Hong Hi (alternatly spelled Choi, Hong Hi and Choi Hong-Hi) is the founder of the original ITF Taekwon-Do. He was born on November 9th, 1918 and founded Taekwon-Do on April 11th, 1955. He died in 2002, but not before writing such great Taekwon-Do works such as The Encyclopedia of Taekwon-Do and Taekwon-Do and I.
