Demo Teams often perform public demonstrations of trick and acrobatic breaking.
A taekwondo Demo Team is a group of taekwondo practitioners who are particularly expert at taekwondo and organize to perform taekwondo demonstrations at special events. Many larger taekwondo schools will have a demo team (this is one of the benefits of studying at a larger school). Demo Teams perform for example at taekwondo tournaments and student recruiting events (such as school Open Houses, local festivals, special occasions at local shopping malls, etc.). and sometimes they also have costumes, such as the blue lion or they wear costumes that look like general Choi Hong hi.

At taekwondo schools, one function of a Demo Team is to sustain the interest of more advanced students. I.e., the Demo Team gives students "a fun social activity" that sustains their interest in taekwondo. The Demo Team also serves a recruitment function, to highlight the quality of instruction at the school, "Our students learn to be this good."
In addition to demonstrating kicks, breaks, and forms, Demo Teams also often perform Taekwonmu, a combination of taekwondo with dance and acrobatic tricking.
