Sarah Chung is perhaps the greatest Taekwondo player ever produced in the country of Malaysia. From 1980 to 1996 she dominated the female division of almost every major Taekwondo event held in Asia. Sarah made Malaysian Taekwondo history by being the first Malaysian to best Korea for the Gold, doing so at the 1992 10th Asian Taekwondo Championships. However two of her proudest moments were also in 1992 when she was awarded the Ahli- Mangku Negara designation by The Majesty King of Malaysia, as well as the Bintang Kinabalu designation by the Head Ministry of Sabah State.
