CHANG, Seong-dong (1953- ) is sometimes called the Father of Indian Taekwondo. (This title is also attributed to Puran Andrew Gurung; see History of Taekwondo in India for clarification.) Chang is also the founder of the Sangrok chain of taekwondo schools.

Chang began studying taekwondo at the age of 10. He was taught by Jong Woo Lee. Chang taught martial arts while in the South Korean military. He opened the first Sangrok school in 1979. The Sangrok chain is international, and teaches Kukkiwon-style taekwondo.
