In the Tiger Stance (also called Cat Stance, Rear-Foot Stance (especially in ITF Taekwondo), or beom seogi) the feet are one-and-a-half foot lengths apart.

  • The front foot is pointed forward; just the balls of the foot are on the ground, the heel is lifted four to five inches.
  • The back foot is flat on the floor, also pointed forward. All of your body weight is on your rear leg.

Both knees are bent.
