Tong Che Bahk Do (통체박도) or (way of precise striking) is U.S. (Arizona)-based martial art developed by Chris Guffey that combines Soo Bahk Do, Tang Soo Do, Karate, Kickboxing techniques and kung fu. In the more recent years Brazilian jiu-jitsu was also used in the curriculum. It was created in 2005 and developed as a hybrid martial art while having a strong foundation and structure in traditional martial arts. Tong Che Bahk Do is unique in that it is a hybrid art that teaches different martial arts in stages. For example, Tang Soo Do is taught to 1st degree black belt. Once black belt level is achieved, Hung Gar is taught to second. This trend continues through all the black belt levels. Tong Che Bahk Do or TCBD for short, does have its own principles and techniques however, separating it from the primary art taught at each stage.
